What’s the difference between a megabyte (MB) and a gigabyte (GB)?

MB and GB stand for megabytes and gigabytes, respectively. To get the GB value from an MB value, you need to divide the MB value by 1024, e.g. 1024MB = 1GB, 512MB = 0.5GB and 3072MB = 3GB.
